Embedded Permanent Line Marking System
Line marking fulfils a number of functions, foremost among these being Health & Safety along with operational issues.
A major difficulty over many years has been the poor durability of applied markings, particularly when painted onto modern power trowelled concrete slabs that are both dense and smooth, offering little or no mechanical key or penetration, resulting in low adhesion.
Captive grit blasting (often referred to as shot blasting) does increase durability but can lead to raggedness and irregular edges as the equipment is bulky, cumbersome and difficult to maintain in a straight line.
Our Embedded Line Marking System shaves the floor slab to a depth of 1-2mm and produces straight lines. The ‘shaved out rebate’ is filled with epoxy resin to finish flush with the surrounding floor resulting in lines that are neat, tidy and durable in the long term.
With our Embedded Line Marking System, we can create lines ranging in width from 50mm to 250mm.
Typical Anticipated Life
Theoretically, the period of time taken for the concrete slab to
wear down by 1-2mm as the epoxy resin is
’embedded’ into the floor, not painted on the
surface.
Areas of Use
Warehousing, distribution, packaging, marshaling lanes, and
storage areas.
Suitable
Substrates
Concrete, granolithic, pumpable floor screeds, epoxy
and polyurethane resin floor finishes.
