Surface Preparation

A clean, sound and well- prepared surface is absolutely essential in ensuring that any applied floor finish will perform satisfactorily.

Cement laitance, existing coatings and any contamination must be removed prior to the finish being applied.

Specialised preparatory techniques include:

• Captive Grit Blasting (above left)
• Hot Compressed Air for impregnated contamination e.g. oil (above centre)
• Diamond Grinding (above right)
• Mechanical Scarification
